Book Description

"Women are like golf courses," writes sex educator Lou Paget. "Even though you may have played a course a hundred times, chances are your approach shot rarely lands in the same place on the green." How to Give Her Absolute Pleasure was written for men who want to please women. Much of the book focuses on foreplay (Paget comments that we need to rename it) designed to "excite both her mind and her body." The author offers a variety of strategies for romancing and relaxing a woman and making her feel comfortable. If you don't, she claims, "nothing you can do can rev her engine". Then she describes ways of "kissing her, touching her, and teasing her." Paget includes "a topographical guide" of a woman's body, starting with the sensual areas of the head and face and moving down. She describes ways to massage, caress, lick, kiss, and otherwise excite all these regions. She also discusses lubricants ("slippery, slidy, marvelous stuff"), condoms, manual stimulation, "the art of tongue," sex toys, and a variety of positions (clearly illustrated) for everything you might do. The book is in no way formulaic--in fact, Paget continually stresses that some women love having a particular body part touched in a certain way, while others can't stand it. Whether you're a novice or consider yourself sexually sophisticated, you'll learn plenty from Paget. --Joan Price

From Library Journal
Paget's How To Be a Great Lover (LJ 1/99) was a unique and useful sex manual for women about men. Now this "sexpert" is back to tell men how to arouse women-stressing the best and most versatile uses of hands and mouth. Having spent the last seven years giving sexuality seminars and working as an AIDS volunteer, she quite appropriately places sager sex advice upfront, in Chapter 2. Her discussion of intercourse positions is complete and concise, and she includes a good chapter on sex toys.

4 out of 5 stars Hats off to Lou, September 29, 2000

Reviewer: A reader from Dallas, Texas

I've read several books on the subject and this one stands out as being comprehensive and sensitive to the needs of women and men. You can't please a woman by abusing and ignoring yourself.

An excellent companion to this title is The RoMANtic's Guide by Michael Webb. It gives hundreds of creative ideas on fulfilling a woman's romantic needs. Whenever I use one of the ideas in that book, my wife is eager and ready.

The physical is important but I think we forget just how much love, tenderness, kindness and all the little things we men can do can truly give her absolute pleasure.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Concise guide for men to Love their Women, January 24, 2000

Reviewer: Rick from Great Falls, Montana

An excellent book, created out of experience from Lou Paget's seminars and workshops. The techniques are well explained and illustrated, the tone of writing is on a personal basis making the information easy to accept and apply. Of at least equal importance to the great variety and explanation of "how to" techniques, is the early discussion of setting the mood, consideration of caring approach , and simple "partner considerations" that do so much to pave the way to opening the mind for rewarding and exciting new fulfillment in sexual relationships. I sure recommend getting the first of Lou Paget's book, "How to be a Great Lover" to go with this (gift it to your partner!), they make a GREAT compliment to each other and makes a great mutual gift for the lady and gentleman in the relationship. From mood setting before the foreplay to the ultimate "breathtaking" inimacy and beyond, this is very worth reading and USING! We will continue to enjoy these books for a LONG time! Thanks Lou and Tara!

I've read it about 2 times, however I'm still looking for the rigth way to please a woman.
This book is not exactly what I spected. I have tried some of the technics that are shown but they are not the magic wand that the author promises.

Reviewer: The Rebecca Review.com

"Women respond best to the more self-confident and self-assured men, and those are men who listen."

A book is fine, but don't underestimate the power of a love letter, being open and intimate and sharing your dreams.

Listening is probably one of the most important points made in this book. I think women fall in love with men who listen to them, who want to know their dreams and who respect their emotional health.

In my mind, the best way to give a woman pleasure is to romance her out of her ordinary world and take her into the world of her fantasies. However, Lou Paget is known as a sex educator and educating men and women on the current sexual research is what she does best.

If you are looking for a book filled with romantic ideas to drive your woman wild, this book focuses on the bedroom. Yes, there are secret tips on communicating with women. If you are not listening to a woman, she will not be as open to having sex with you.

Lou Paget is explicit, honest and provides a guide to sex based on secrets shared by hundreds of men and women who attend her seminars.

This book is definitely written for men and focuses on giving a woman pleasure during sex. It also discusses various factors relevant to modern relationships. The sports analogies are good and often the humor makes you laugh out loud. Men don't realize how much control they really could have over their sex lives. Often they just don't plan for sex the way they plan the rest of their lives.

"How you invest in your sexual relationship now pays off in the future. So, you need to have a plan for your relationship as well." Pg. 17

The Chapters Include:

The Yin and the Yang of the KamaLoutra - Frank discussions on what men are sold rather than what the facts really are.

Safe Sensuality: Keeping You and Your Lady Protected - Did you realize one in every four Americans has an STD? This section is helpful for anyone who has an STD or doesn't want to get one.

Getting Her in the Mood - When is a woman the most ready? When are you? The times of the day will surprise you. While this is not an extensive chapter and you will want to think up many of your own romantic ideas, or find books on the subject, this does tell you the basics of how a female will respond. Everything from relaxation to engaging her five senses.

Awakening Her Body's Erogenous Zones - A checklist to fantastic foreplay and hints on foot massage.

Let Your Hands Delight Her - Diagrams galore and information men will love to know.

Leading a Woman to Rapture - Sex positions and secrets.

Assembling Your Tool Chest - She tells all and gives sources. She also tells which products are dangerous to use and gives information on the best products out there. I think her views on nonoxynol-9 is one sided because many women are enjoying this option.

Birth control pills might be worse for some women and I know many, many women who got pregnant on the pill. Hey, they either forgot to take it or it didn't work for them. I also didn't really know this spermicide could kill HIV and STDs in test tubes. However, she still warns it is not complete protection.

Capturing Miss O - Fact and Fiction. Which is which. What is the real experience and what to expect.

Nights of Nirvana - More sex positions and an honest explanation of what some consider to be forbidden. Who knew certain sex acts are actually still illegal in certain states. I felt Lou was very honest about the facts, you decide what you are willing to try.

What I loved are all the "Secrets from Lou's Archives." Especially what the word "Negligee" means. That was quite interesting. I will never think of lipstick the same way, that is for sure.

Looking for ideas for music? Lou gives her list of instrumental favorites. Most of them are New Age jazz.

So will buying this book, reading it and also putting the ideas into practice take your woman to a place of absolute pleasure? I think to be a master seducer you also need to add an equivalent of romantic knowledge. My thought really is, "give romance, get more sex." And that is all I have to say about that!

I think books by David Deida are going to give you a good idea of what women are thinking and what their hearts are craving in order to experience soul-merging sex. The act in itself is just a continuation of the romance she craves.

Lou has done her research. She knows all the technical details. Now all you have to do is add this knowledge to your sex tool box and then add the love and romance.

If you are a woman buying this book: Leave this book next to the remote control, ha, ha... ;) He might forget to watch TV for a few hours at least.

Read in one night for many nights of nirvana.
